    Bathing Baby

I love to discover new things, and on a recent trip to Amsterdam, a friend took me to a place filled with fabulous baby, child and mother products. It was like stepping into the Conran Shop with Buy Buy Baby prices.
One of these unique items was the Shantala Baby Bath. It looks likes a novelty item, but it is actually extremely practical, and it’s becoming a fast favourite with parents throughout Europe and the UK.
Designed not to tip, it’s the perfect bathing accessory. You can bath your baby in any warm room of the house or apartment, rather than letting your little one freeze in the cold bathroom without heating.

Its ergonomic design has advantages for both baby and parent during bath time.
For parents the easily portable tub can be placed at any height, in a stand (sold separately) or on the floor avoiding a painful backache while bathing baby. It is stable and will not capsize, and can be stored very easily.
For baby, the contoured womb shaped tub gently places baby in a curled position creating a feeling of being back in the warmth of the womb, helping baby to feel happy and relaxed as they won’t slip and slide around.

I remember bathing my son as a baby. I simply refused to purchase a baby bath purely because I felt it was a waist of money and space. And what would I do with a large plastic tub once he stopped using it? Many people use the kitchen sink, I thought that wouldn’t be very comfortable so I decided to hold my tiny baby in the shower or bath and passed him to my husband to dry.
In retrospect I don’t recall not having a bath being a problem, but having discovered this fab tub, baby number two will be getting the Shantala Baby Bath.

The Shantala Baby Bath is suitable for babies from 0 to 9 months, and can be used as a bucket for toys, storing items under the sink or plant container once your baby has outgrown it.
