T spheres offer massage & aromatherapy in one portable product. As an expectant mother, using t spheres is a completely natural way to relieve pain from the body offering relief to pregnancy related ailments like sciatica.
Here are some quick tips for expecting mothers and parents of colicky babies.
Relief From Sciatica:
1. Place a t sphere under one side of the buttock and find the tension area. Ease into it and breathe deeply. Move in small circles or back and forth. You can do this in bed, on a mat, against the wall or seated...find what works for you at your stage of pregnancy and comfort level. See Sciatica relief picture attached
2. Placing the t spheres on either side of the triangular bone (sacrum) in between your buttocks that is at the lower back is a good spot too...remember to always use your breath when using t spheres to help let the tension and tightness go.
3. Massaging down the side of the leg with one t sphere all the way from the hip to the heel - try simple pressure points and find the ones that release the tightness...they will be the ones that are a bit painful when massaged - finish with the foot - placing the t spheres under it and rolling and pushing into the sphere. Use a wall as a balancing tool if not sure of your balance when doing the foot portion of this session.
Colicky Baby Massage:
1. Start on the lower right side of the tummy by the belly crease at the hip and massage upward and across to the left side then massage down...you can turn it into a circle starting the massage from right to left if this makes it easier for you and baby.
2. Depending on the size of your child you can either hold the t spheres with three fingers - the thumb, index and middle finger making little tiny circles with the massage motion or place between your child and the palm of your hand and massage in the same circular motion.
3.The key is regular massage sessions for Colic...not during the actual crying episodes, as the baby's abdomen is too rigid to be massaged. Take a minute or three to massage every time you change a diaper, skipping the massage sessions during the day can possible result in a re-visit of colic crying at night.
